Hawai'i

We had some shaky times on the plane and I was sweating the whole way. I was so tense that I got a huge headache. If you can not guess, I really do not like to fly. I had to get on the plane because we had already purchased the tickets. I wouldn't want to waste the money. We stayed at Laie Point in a two bed two bath house that was on the ocean... so pretty. They even saw a whale off the deck of the house. I have to say "they" because I missed it. Darn whales why do they have to hold there breath for so long. I loved falling asleep with the waves crashing in the background. I thought that I would have a hard time getting to sleep but I had no problem. Some of the things we did while we were there was going to the BYU bookstore, Food Fest at BYU, we went to a swap meet, Pearl Harbor, and snorkeling. I should say that I tried snorkeling, I really had a hard time with it. I felt claustrophobic and because of the restricted breathing it made me feel like I was having a heart flutter. I think it will take a few more times to get used to, but I will try again. We also lounged on the beach and at the house but the sunblock that I packed was really good stuff because I hardly got a tan, bummer. But I did not get burned so that is something to be happy about. Woo Hoo! Oh, we also went to the Polynesian Cultural Center it was so fun and the night show is awesome. We ran in the Aloha Run it is 8.something mile run and was packed! I was reminded of cattle in a stock yard I was just missing a bell around my neck, MOO! We heard the canon go off and saw all the military go then we started to shuffle to the start line. I think it took us about 5-10 minutes to actually get there. I was going really well for the first 2.5 miles and then my hips began hurting and by the end of the race I was hanging on Jesse. I kept on telling him to run ahead and I would see him at the finish line...man am I happy he didn't listen to me. I was in sad shape :( If you want to know if I would do it again I would have to say, YEA! Just knock me out and wake me up when we get there.
